Here’s the latest info on our new Explorer section for all Scouts and parents who are looking to see whats coming later this year…
Start Date:
Our original start date of September has now been put back slightly.
The first meeting for the new Explorer Unit will be on Thursday 1st November at Church of the Martyrs.
Day:
Thursday evenings.
Time:
8.30pm to 10.00pm (meet at 8.15pm for an 8.30pm start)
Venue:
Alternating weeks using
Church of the Martyrs Church Hall (43rd) & Buckminster Road Church Hall (86th).
We will post onto the website / Facebook page dates and venues incase Explorers or parents need to check which venue on whichever week.

On Facebook, just search for our group called “K2 Explorer Unit” and click the link to join the group.
Note: Be specific when you search and only join “K2 Explorer Unit” as other units with very similar names exist!Leaders:

Unit Name:
After much debate by the leaders and some contributions from our scouting friends on Facebook, we have decided to call the new unit……..K2 Explorers.
Q: Why not 43rd / 86th ?
A: Originally we were going to just call it the 43rd / 86th Explorer Unit but although these two groups are both involved with the start of this new unit, in time we may have other Explorers joining from other nearby Scout groups. This is because unlike Scouts, Explorer units tend to come under the scouting district rather than being directly related to just one scout group.
